I am selling the best car, by far, I have ever owned---my 2008 BMW 328xi Coupe. Magazines and driver enthusiasts call this "The ultimate driving dream machine" and for good reason. This jet black on the outside, black leather in the inside is a V6 with all wheel drive giving it the perfect combination of power and control you need for every season. The car is a preowned certified and comes with both warranty and free maintance for 6 years/100k(through 2/2014). Additionally the car has run flat tires(that stay inflated if you get a flat) that are also fully warrantied- rims and tires for the life of the tires). I purchased from BMW Gallery in Norwood and have done my maintenance with them for the past two years. You will find that a car fax shows the vehicle has NEVER been in an accident and maintained perfectly. The car has all of the features one would want--automatic steptronic transmission, lo-jack, power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof, heated front seats and mirrors, dual climate control, cruise, CD/MP3, ABS, Steep Hill feature, etc. She gets low 20's in the city and high 20's on the highway. A 328xi coupe(sport) with the steptronic automatic transmission is very hard to find and thus more expensive than the more common place sedan.
My new job has me taking the T on many days and so for me to have a vehicle such as this that wants to be driven does not make sense any longer. I part with a heavy heart--but hoping that someone will love to drive her and care for her as much as I have. BMW suing Saab Automobile Parts for $3.2M
Fri, 24 Aug 2012Saab might be all but dead, but that's not stopping automakers that were once involved with the Swedish brand from attempting to reclaim losses. According to a Fox Business report, BMW has filed a 2.6 million Euro suit ($3.2 million USD) with a Swedish district court against Saab Automobile Parts for deliveries that went unpaid.
In 2012, Saab Automobile AB signed an agreement BMW that would see the German automaker deliver four-cylinder gas engines for its 9-3 range.
The suit also asserts that Saab ordered a large number of spare parts, and no payments were made to BMW. At the time, Saab was far from liquid, and filed for bankruptcy in December of last year.
BMW and Mini shuffle NA management, McDowell to retire
Wed, 04 Dec 2013BMW and Mini recently shuffled top personnel in their design departments, and now BMW of North America will reorganize its management to improve customer relations. Peter Miles (pictured), currently the executive vice president of operations, will take a newly created position, vice president of sales channel development and customer relations, while Jim McDowell, vice president of Mini of the Americas, will retire.
Chris Koenders, president of BMW Group Netherlands, will move take Miles' spot as executive vice president of operations. David Duncan, western region vice president, will take McDowell's job as vice president of Mini of the Americas. Finishing off the management switcharoo is Peter Witt, who will move from his current position as Managing Director of BMW Sweden to take Duncan's job as western region vice president.
"We are intensifying our customer-driven focus and these changes will influence the entire organization to continue improving all phases of the customer journey from prospect to purchase and throughout the ownership cycle," says Ludwig Willisch, president and CEO of BMW NA. BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coup'e concept echoes 8 Series
Tue, 14 May 2013BMW and Pininfarina are planning to debut a new concept at the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The Gran Lusso Coupé is designed to be the next logical step forward from the Zagato Coupé, and the one-off creation boasts plenty of BMW earmarks to set the car off as a true member of the German automaker's family. With a long wheel base and a stretched nose, the two door can't help but channel the long-dead BMW 8 Series, and the potent V12 under the hood only reinforces the link.
