Up for auction is a very clean, very nice, low mileage 328i Sport. This car is a rare combination of options that make it stand out in a crowd. The car is ALPINE WHITE (Code 300) with SADDLE interior (sport seats) and factory BMW sport wheels which are Black.  Options not list above include:

- Split/folding rear seat

- Paddle shifters

- Homelink

- sunroof (electric)

- compass

- dual climate control

- on wheel stereo controls

- OEM M3 rear spoiler with factory Alpine White paint

- OEM Sport lip (sprayed with factory OEM Alpine White paint, matches perfectly)

- Satin black kidneys (not OEM, but quality)

- OEM Ipod connector (with aftermarket blue tooth module)

- black OEM BMW coupe wheels (not sure on the finish, but it is resilient, see below)

I am sure there are more but I can’t remember.

The Good:

This car runs great, no known problems.  The paint shines; the interior is almost perfect, Seats, dash, carpet, etc.; the engine compartment is also pretty clean.  The photos shown are not taken after a detail to shiny things up, simply after a wash.  The engine bay was not cleaned at all prior to photos, that’s just the way it is.  The car was completely checked by a BMW master tech, inside and out, no issues or problems were observed; the car was put on a lift when the lip was installed, so the undercarriage has also been inspected from front to rear.  Look at the attached pictures to take in the goodness!

The Bad:

Overall the car is in excellent condition, but in an attempt to have “full disclosure”, please read the following.

There is a very minor dent/scratch on the rear side of the rear driver fender well, it happened when the car was being shipped from California to Phoenix, there is a small ding in the rear bumper which looks like a rock or something caused a small dent on the inside of the rear bumper, just above the exhaust cut out.  There are very minor rock chips on the front bumper and on the running boards.  All of the imperfections are not visible outside of 5-6 feet away from the car and unless you are looking for them, they would be easily overlooked.

On one of the AC vents, the slider “knob” plastic is broken.  The vent works perfectly fine but if you wanted to move the air directors left/right, up/down then you would have to fix the plastic “knob” or use another measure to adjust the airflow.

The black plastic on the steering is starting to peel on the edges.

The passenger side arm that delivers the seat belt functions perfectly fine, however it does not grab the belt when it extends, not sure why.

The black on two of the wheels is orange peely.  It is not visible unless you are on top of them, there is no cracking and no doubt that the color will last, just noticeably imperfect when you are examining the wheels up close.  Two of the wheels have nicks in the black around the lip, this was from tire repair (a nail) on one, and a tire replacement on another.

Warranty just recently expired, it was still intact when I bought it, but has since lapsed.

There are two “incidents” on the carfax, the dealer assured that both were minor.  One of which they knew specifics of, the other they were unsure of but could not find evidence of significant damage upon inspection.  The one they were aware of was damage on the front bumper, in the lower passenger side.  There are some gouges present that were paint repaired, however the sport lip covers most of the damage.  My tech also looked the car over and did not observe any areas that appeared to be substantially repaired.  There did not appear to be any structural damage on the car (including the undercarriage) and any/all visible parts of the car are 100% OEM BMW parts.

The Story:

I bought this car from a small dealer out of Malibu, Ca. in August of last year.  This was my first BMW and I love it, but I need to go back to a sedan for the extra room.  This car has all of the classy luxury BMW touches with just enough umph, to show that it is sporty as well.  If you want a 3 series that will stick out in a crowd, this is the one.  The only thing that I have done to the car since I have owned it was program the radio, add the sport lip and the m3 spoiler… nothing to change now, as it looks awesome the way it is!

There are obviously several things that I am forgetting, if I remember I will add them here.  Look at the pics for more details.  Please let me know if there are any questions.

Thanks for looking and Happy bidding.

2015 BMW M3 is fast for the family man

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

BMW finally brought its four-door M3 into the public view, showing the new sedan off at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The new M3 represents BMW's return to small, wildly fast four-door sedans after a several year absence following the discontinuation of the E90 M3 Sedan way back in 2011.
The M3 enjoys the same 425-horsepower, 3.0-liter six-cylinder used in the M4, with 406 pound-feet of torque and the owner's choice of either an old-fashioned six-speed manual or a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. All told, the new powertrain should scoot the four-door M to 60 in a mere 3.9 seconds (with the M DCT).
We've got a full gallery of live images of the all-new M3 up above, and we've included the original stock gallery down below. Feel free to peruse either, and then let us know what you think by sounding off down in Comments.

BMW M4 sheds some camouflage for latest test run

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

Last time we saw the upcoming BMW M4 out testing, it was heavily clad with camouflage and decidedly homely looking (as most early development mules are). But in this latest set of photos, the M3 coupe successor has started to come into its own skin, and we're seeing a shape more closely akin to that of a rendering we brought you a few months back.
Unsurprisingly, the M4 coupe looks very similar to the 4 Series Concept that BMW debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. And while non-M version of the 4er will likely look a bit more sedate, these spy shots clearly show an aggressive front fascia, large wheels and the usual quad-exhaust rounding out the rear end.
Naturally, the M3 sedan will launch before this M4 coupe (and convertible), and powertrain details are still unclear as of this writing. We understand that the current M3's naturally aspirated V8 will be axed in favor of some sort of turbocharged six-cylinder engine, and we've heard plenty of rumors as to what, exactly, it might be, but we have yet to hear any official confirmation.

BMW to launch loaner program to avoid range anxiety on i models

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

BMW is looking to stave off electric vehicle range anxiety with a new program that offers buyers a free gasoline loaner with every i3 purchase. Ward's Auto reports BMW is confident that the EV will give buyers the kind of transportation they need for 90 percent of their trips. The loaners, meanwhile, will be available for those few occasions when drivers need to cover more ground than the machine's batteries will allow. The i3 gets around with help from a 180-horsepower electric motor paired with a lithium-ion battery pack.
The combo is good for trips of between 80 and 100 miles depending on driving habits and weather conditions, though BMW also plans to offer a model with a small two-cylinder range-extending gasoline engine as well. That option will likely set you back an additional $4,000. When the machine bows in 2014, it will likely come with a charge time of four to six hours when suckling from a 220-volt outlet.
As far as the conventionally powered loaner car goes, the cost of the program is included in the i3's purchase price, though BMW has yet to figure out how many free loans will be offered, or what happens after that threshold is reached.
