I have a 2000 BMW 328 Ci coupe that has a rebuilt title for sale.  I bought the car november 2012 and have been using the car as a secondary vehicle to save the miles on my other cars.  The car mechanical is all sound. It starts every time and runs well.  The things the car needs is a front bumper (Had a bumper but broke off while I was driving on hwy week ago), the dsc is inactivtive b/c it needs a wheel sensor hence the cruise control is not working as well, the sunroof glass is there but the sliding interior peice is missing, and the engine fan makes alot of noise but i have been driving the car like that for 2000 miles so it is up to the new owner whether to get new fan or not.  The check engine light is on because it needs oz sensors on the drivers bank. Hood has a 50 cent coin size dent and rust spot on hood. The headliner is starting to droop its not bad in the front but in the back is drooping but not too bad either.  Car is dirty as well so would need a good detail inside. The good about the car is it just had a head gasket job 500 miles ago, new brake pads, new brake booster, new syntectic oil, about 65k miles and it runs well.  Car also has xenon lights.  I am done with this car. i just bought a new toy 95 lexus sc 300 which is coming monday and i want to drop a supra motor in it so this BMW has to go.  NO RESERVE last bidder will win but i do have a buy it now price of 4800 because thats what i have into it. Thank you for veiwing my listing

On Mar-02-13 at 19:14:18 PST, seller added the following information:

The car also has dual heated seats,  4.6inch lcd screen plays dvds and you can also hook your ipod to it.  I figured out the cuise control problem.  The car needs a new spring clock which i will try to have that replaced tomorrow. I will also try to find a oz sensor to fix the check engine light as well.

2014 BMW M235i

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

We know a number of BMW owners who reside in the Munich brand's core demographic - upper-five- and six-figure professionals who like to keep their automotive brand credentials as highly respected among their peers as their alma maters or the letters after their names. Before heading to Las Vegas to drive the new M235i, we asked four of those owners, "What did you think of the E30 3 Series?" Although phrased differently, every one of them had the same answer: "What's that?"
You can counter that we just happened to query a tiny and ignorant sample size, and it's possible that you're right. Nevertheless, in every case,we were speaking to BMW's core demographic, the increasing legion of buyers who have fostered another year of record growth and are responsible for BMW retaining its global luxury title for nine straight years. Question that, and we'll refer you to BMW's marketing department, its several hundred PowerPoint slides and several thousand pages of research that prove the point.
That second-generation E30 3 Series built a name, a brand and an entire segment by defining BMW-ness as superlative driving dynamics meets luxury - shortened to the phrase, "The Ultimate Driving Machine." Thirty years later, just being a part of BMW-ness and luxury is enough for the majority of buyers. The superlative handling, that's optional, and 150 hairy guys meet every Tuesday to keep the old religion going, light torches, sing dirges to the siren long gone and bang on their keyboards about the apostasies of modern buyers.

Two rare Alpina BMWs given the Petrolicious treatment

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Alpina is getting more and more ink because of because of that rolling cannonade known as the B7 and its closer ties with BMW. The company's tuning business dates to 1962 when Burkard Bovensiepen began fiddling with Weber carburetors, then his company began racing in 1968 and was eventually certified as an automaker in 1983.
Two of its rarer specimens from those early years have gotten a glance from the folks at Petrolicious: the E24 B10 and E24 B7S. Based on the BMW 6 Series, the Alpina versions made one of the most special coupes from the Eighties even more so. According to the video, there were only 44 B10s made, and the turbocharged, 333-horsepower B7S - this was in a luxury coupe in 1982, mind you - saw only 33 examples produced.
You won't be sorry to find out more about them - and see how they run - in the Petrolicious video below.

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).
