I bought this car just 2 years ago as a first car for my daughter. it didn't long to realize that it was way too nice for a kid and I kept it for myself. It has quickly become my most favorite car ever ! People who know me say I always make the cars I own , better than when I bought them. This is no exception. The car is in very nice condition , shiny black paint , the black leather interior has no rips, tears or cracks. Every single option and feature works as it should, power windows, locks , climate control, cold a/c, 6 disc factory cd changer in the trunk, everything! The engine runs fantastic, smooth powerful, fun to drive ! Trans shifts as it was designed, the auto and manual modes work great. I have done tons of work to this car to make it as close to perfect as possible, below I will list all the good as well as a few things that I havent gotten to yet.
The Good and the New:
This car gets 30 MPG on the highway!!!!!!! The Harmon Kardon sound system has amplified subs and sounds awesome!!
new alternator, new radiator, new valve cover gasket, new tires(about 1000 miles on them now),new front brakes and rotors, new sway bar mounts welded in, new front control arms, new ball joints, new control arm bushings, new driveshaft flex disc (guibo joint), new transmission mounts, new center support hanger bearing, new brake light switch, Factory keyless entry (2 key fobs) with alarm. Heated power adjustable seats, factory driving lamps
fresh synthetic oil and Bosch Platinum +4 plugs, LED headlight accents ( see photos)
The Bad ( if you can call it that):
The previous owner must have been a tailgater, because the nose of the car has quite a bit of small chips ( road rash) , fortunately it doesn't show from about 5 feet away, see photos, the drivers side has a scratch about the size of a quarter probably from someone opening a car door carelessly, there is a 3" long spot on the lower edge of the door that shows some rust , just a bit where the paint wore off, touch up paint would cover it but I never worried about it . The window washer squirters seem to have low pressure, I think the tubing may be pinched under the hood. That's really it for bad stuff, mostly cosmetic stuff
This car runs, drives and looks great the pictures tell the story, its been garage kept its whole life and very well cared for, I would love to keep it but I need an SUV to tow my trailer and I don't have room for any more cars.

2013 BMW R1200GS and HP4 duel at Circuito de Almeria
Wed, 05 Jun 2013The 2013 BMW HP4 is the track-ready version of the manufacturer's already mighty S1000RR, which puts the bike at the very tip top of the two-wheeled BMW food chain. The R1200GS, meanwhile, is intended to be a somewhat more utilitarian machine. Capable of conveying both rider and gear over vast distances and uncertain terrain, the big-boy GS is the Swiss army knife to the HP4's rapier. Or at least that's what we've always been led to believe. BMW recently rolled out some footage during a press launch that showed the R1200GS is actually no slouch when it comes time to sling around a road course.
The company threw both bikes on Spain's Circuito de Almeria for a little sparring match, and miraculously, the HP4 didn't just up and walk away from the R1200GS. From from it. Instead, the two stay tightly matched through most of the course before something surprising happens. We won't spoil the ending for you. Is it possible the rider on the HP4 still had some in reserve? Sure, but from the sound and look of things, neither bike was giving an inch. Check out all the video action below for yourself.
Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Looking at the current automotive landscape, especially from German makers, you quickly get the impression that less definitely isn't more. BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.
BMW unveils 2016 X5 M and X6 M super CUVs
Wed, 29 Oct 2014The second-generation BMW X5 M and X6 M have officially made their arrival for the speed-obsessed, crossover-loving masses that aren't willing to turn to Mercedes-AMG or Land Rover Special Operations.
While the new models retain their 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8s, power has increased from 555 horsepower to 567 ponies. Torque is up more significantly, climbing from 500 pound-feet to 553 pound-feet. The extra twist is slightly less accessible, with peak grunt arriving between 2,200 and 5,000 rpm, rather than the earlier model's 1,500 to 5,650. Still, we'll take the ten percent increase in torque as a net win.
The big powertrain switch sees the old X5/6 M's six-speed automatic replaced with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission from BMW M. This new gearbox feeds power to an xDrive all-wheel-drive system that can variably shuffle up to 100 percent of power to either axle. In conjunction with the force-induced thumper under the hood, this powertrain arrangement allows both M models to hit 60 miles per hour in just four seconds. That's a mightily impressive stat in a 5,000-plus-pound vehicle.
