Up for sale today is my gorgeous 1990 BMW 325i sedan. The car has just over 140k miles at the time of this posting, but will have more as I drive it daily. The pictures are accurate and every effort has been made to clearly show any flaws the car has. I am fanatical about the care and condition of the car, but it is 23 yrs old and as such there is wear in some areas. Overall however, I believe it to be one of the cleanest late model (plastic bumper) E30s on the market, period.

Every function of this E30 works as designed. All leaks have been addressed as they develop by BMW factory trained Master Technicians only. I work for a BMW dealership in Central CA and am proud to say I've never seen a cleaner E30 sedan pass through our doors. There will be no disappointments with this car. With all that said, here are the details;

-Automatic trans (works perfectly)

-140k miles

-Rare Glacier Blue color

-4 door sedan

-3rd owner (2nd owner was Dealership sales Mgr.)

-Tires, less than 5K miles

-Depo smoked headlights

-Euro grills

-Zero rust (CA car)

-"IS" front lip

-"IS" rear spoiler

-Euro lic plate filler (see pics)

-E21 euro rear sunshade

-Genuine BBS RCs, 17"

-Cross drilled rotors, brakes less than 5K miles on them

-Custom exhaust (loud, but sounds great)

-Suspension Technique springs (stiff)

-All original body panels

-Kenwood aftermarket head unit, stock speakers

-Euro dash clock

-Waterpump/timing belt 3yrs ago (less than 50k on them)

-New PS hoses, oil filter housing gaskets, etc (for minor leaks, I try to be as anal

as an E30 guy can be about leaks with the m20 engine :)

-Religious oil changes

-Brushed aluminum instrument cluster gauge rings

-New paint (2 yrs ago) by BMW dealership painter (amazing paint job, original color)

-No accidents

There are a few flaws, and pics are included of those with this ad. They are:

-3 small cracks in the dash (a crack free, very clean dash will be included with sale)

-The left rear door panel has 3 small scratches in it (see pics)

-small (Very small) chips and whatnot from daily driving

I don't think you will find a cleaner, better cared for E30 sedan. I realize that most people want a manual trans, and it was always my intention to swap out the automatic for a manual, but kids and life put a stop to that. My wife rarely drove the car, but when she did I was glad she didn't have a clutch to burn up:)

The car has no shimmy, shakes or wobbles. It is overall, tighter and more solid than any E30 sedan I've ever driven, even lowered with very stiff ST springs. It turns heads where ever I go, every time, every day. I hate the thought of selling it, and all the techs at work say I'm crazy for letting it go, but I picked up a classic 2002 and bought the wife her dream SUV. The E30 just sits in the garage. I cringe when the kids play anywhere near her because there isn't a ding or dent on the entire car. It deserves a good home; to be driven and loved.

The price is on the higher end of the E30 market, but working around E30s and BMWs for a living has shown me that there isn't another one like this out there. It has been babied and is utterly reliable. If she doesn't sell, it is probably a sign that I need to keep her.

I can provide references (phone # to talk to the BMW Master Tech that does all of my work) or viewings in the Central CA area within 20 miles after work hours for serious buyers. As of the posting of this ad, the car has just passed a CA smog test and is ready for sale with a clean title (obviously).

I can provide pics of any specific areas of the car you would like to see that I may not have posted in the ad. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have.

$1000 Down Payment required within 48 hours of when the Auction is finished. Remaining Balance within 7 days of when the Auction Ends.

Buyer responsible for all shipping costs and scheduling for Vehicle Pickup.

Car is sold AS IS, no warranty.

BMW X5 driver repeatedly fails to understand big rig braking distances

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

Nobody should be shocked that a big, heavy vehicle like a semi truck takes a longer distance to stop than the average passenger car; it's just basic physics. However, this BMW X5 driver seemingly has a major problem grasping the concept, and it results in some serious damage to the back of his SUV.
The whole incident is very confusing to watch. The BMW doesn't even seem to have a reason to slow down before the semi slams into the back of it at fairly high speed. But to make the situation even weirder, the crashes just keep happening again and again.
To give the BMW driver a little credit, he appears amazingly calm when surveying the damage afterward. But you have to wonder what this guy was thinking when trying a harebrained move like this. Check out the video to watch the carnage unfold.

Auto execs surveyed say VW, BMW most likely to grow

Thu, 17 Jan 2013

A new survey of top global automotive executives indicates both Volkswagen and BMW are the most likely to grow their market share over the next five years.
Tax advisory firm KPMG LLP has released its 14th annual Global Automotive Executive Survey, which includes responses from over 200 executives. A total of 81 percent of respondents said they expect to see Volkswagen make gains, compared to 70 percent last year. BMW, meanwhile, saw 70 percent of those surveyed say they believe the company will increase its market share. That's a jump of 7 percentage points over last year. This is the first time in the history of the survey that BMW has claimed the second-place spot.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has seen its perceived market share potential slacken for the third year in a row. Around 61 percent of those surveyed predicted gains for Hyundai, down from 63 in 2012. Toyota also has a surprising year, but for just the opposite reason. While the manufacturer had slipped in ranking since 2011, it enjoyed the largest increase of any company in the 2013 survey, jumping to 68 percent from 44 percent last year.

BMW X3 spied with nip and tuck nearly complete

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

With the style-driven BMW X4 coming along in development, it looks like some of the forthcoming crossover's design could trickle over to its utilitarian sibling, the X3. Captured in these spy shots, it appears that the 2015 BMW X3 is preparing for a minor facelift, and from what we can tell, the biggest change will center on the CUV's headlights.
There is plenty of camouflage on the front and rear fascias to suggest updates will occur there, too, but we can definitely tell that the X3 will be getting LED-equipped headlights - at least as an option, anyway. The halos are slightly different from the current offering and there is also an LED strip above the headlights used as turn signal indicators. Another interesting thing we notice in these pictures is the nub at the bottom of the grille (also visible in recent X4 spy shots). While this could be some sort of test sensor for this prototype, it could also be a front-mounted camera for a possible parking assist system.
We don't expect any changes to the powertrain and we're not sure what updates could be in store for the interior, but we're guessing that that the 2015 X3 will debut shortly after the X4 goes on sale next year.
