This description is from original owner*******

Original owner, with only 63,220 miles.
Very fun car. Has always been an extra car that was just used for fun short trips when the weather calls for a convertible!!
Paint is faded needs repainting. Seats have a few seams separating in back seat. One tear on driver seat. Dash has a couple of cracks. If you are going to use this as a primary car you may want to replace the convertible top. We keep the top down and put it in the garage, only take it out during convertible weather.
My wife had a couple of minor accidents many years ago and it looks like a front quarter panel and a rear quarter panel were repainted.
Driver side window has a problem. I can hear the motor, but the window won't go up.
But this car has not been driven hard and is in great shape with so few miles.
She'll be a beautiful drive on those upcoming spring days!

The wrecks were both slow speed events in parking lots that required repainting of the quarter panels, not replacement. The front panel happened when 2 cars turned into each other in a parking lot. The rear quarter panel was when my wife backed into something. They happened at 2 different times, repaired by 2 different shops. Now, the paint on the rear is fading, and the front panel is cracking.

The odometer is accurate. We really don't drive it much. Two drivers in the family and it is our extra, third vehicle. We keep it in the garage and just drive it short distances when the weather is nice. For about 8 years before 2005 we lived in San Diego

Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial

Wed, 28 May 2014

How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.

2015 BMW M3 and M4 priced at $62,000 and $64,200

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

When the BMW M3 and M4 debuted on Monday at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, it was to much fanfare and excitement. At that time, though, we were missing a big piece of the M3/M4 puzzle - the price.
According to a report from our roundel-obsessed friends at Bimmerfest, the four-door M3 will star at $62,000, while the M4 Coupe is priced at $64,200. Those prices do not include a $925 destination charge. That's a pretty significant jump over the $56,275 starting price of the old M3 Sedan and $59,275 starting price of the last M3 Coupe, although we'd argue that these cars should easily outpace their V8 counterparts in terms of overall performance. In other news, a six-speed manual will come standard, while the seven-speed M DCT will be an optional extra.
Bimmerfest also came up with a timeline for the M3 and M4's arrival. We should expect the official announcement of pricing, along with the full order guides, released near the end of this month or in early February. Production will kick off in March, while customers will be able to begin placing orders in late April. We'll get our first crack at both cars in June, with deliveries beginning later that month.

2013 BMW M6 Coupe

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

The Act And The Exclamation
The 2013 BMW M6 is a rolling obscenity - one that begins with the capital letter "F." It is both the act and the exclamation, the curse and the encouragement. It courts no logic. It is all want and no need, and it is unbecoming of the BMW roundel. Whereas the brand's products once strove to unite man and machine in a duet of blissful performance, the M6 seems built solely to stand between the driver and the road. You are very clearly in its way every second you're behind the wheel, slowing it down and generally being the Monday morning to its two-day trance festival. It's clear this car is very fast, but it has no interest in making you fast in the way that the M3 or even the M5 are wont to do.
But somehow, all that doesn't stop the car from stoking every last lick of lust in your gut. A 560-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 will do that for you.
