1990 Bmw 325ic Convertible E30 - Automatic - New Paint - New Top - New Interrior on 2040-cars
The car is still very straight and solid
Carbondale, Illinois, United States
|Hi, Up for sale is my iconic Red BMW Convertible 325IC. Vin # WBABB2311LEC20953I bought this vehicle with intent of keeping it FOREVER, but I have an opportunity to purchase my dream car so reluctantly this one must go. Specifics:1990 Brillantrot Red BMW 325IC, with manual top and automatic transmission. Recent upgrades include;
New Convertible Top
New Wheels & Suspension
AC fixed and recharged (blows cold)
After market stereo and speakers.
Engine was tuned up by previous owner and all necessary scheduled maintenance was performed which include but not limited to, timing belt changed, water pump replaced newer battery, all bushings and seals, new shocks and springs to give the car a nicer stance and improved driving. It leaks a tad bit oil if you let sit for long periods. My best guest is that it is a old gasket.
The car is still very straight and solid. It was painted only a few months ago to the orginal Brillantrot Red using stage 1 paint. Car was stripped to bare metal before painting. It shows really nice and the color is very shiny. The paint is NOT considered "show" paint but it is a really nice weekend crusier paint job that will last a long time.
The interior is 9.5/10 scale. The interior recently got overhauled to factory tan color. All new carpet, door panels, seats, where replaced and reupholstered. Both front sport seats are in immaculate condition and the rear seats literally never been sat in since they have been reupholstered. Both bolsters on front seats are still intact and almost perfect condition. All gauges, knobs, and buttons work. The cluster has been fitted with a moto meter odometer and everything works even the odometer! Dash only has a small hair line crack which can be seen in the pictures. All windows roll up and down as nicely as well.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
- Car has rebuilt title from a collision. I bought the car this way and never looked into the details as to what happened. It does not affect the driving of this car whatsoever. It still goes straight, turns tight and functions great. I have done a lot of work to get the car in this shape, but please keep in mind that this is a 23yr old car. The body has minor dings and dents that we couldn't completely correct before painting.
I try with the best of my abilities to describe this car exactly how it sits. If for whatever reason I am missing something please don't hesitate to ask.
Please call with any questions,

A pit stop is a pit stop, right? The race car pulls in, the crew changes the tires, pumps in some fuel, maybe swaps out a busted body panel or squeegees the windshield, and off it goes for another heat. Only pit stops have become the focus of news lately for a number of reasons, whether it's because of mishaps (like the ones that prompted F1 to ban mid-race refueling), new time records (due largely to said ban) or interesting new ways to film the fast-paced action.

A few weeks ago we brought you footage of an IndyCar pit stop filmed from multiple angles courtesy of Google Glass. Now BMW has released a brief clip of one of its M4 DTM racers coming in for fresh rubber, all filmed by infrared camera. Its the kind of technology BMW uses to help optimize its German touring cars for competition, and now the Bavarian outfit has released some footage for fans to enjoy.
The resulting thermal imagery gives you an idea of how hot the car runs (and where the heat is emanating from), how warm they get the fresh rubber before they get it onto the car, and what kind of temperatures the pit crew is subjected to. Look closely enough in the 25-second video below and you'll even see the heat sputtering out of the exhaust pipes as the M4 downshifts into its pit box. (Just don't try adjusting your speakers, the clip is without audio.)
It's been a while since we've seen the upcoming BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe out testing, but we're sort of inclined to ask "Why?" yet again. After all, the 4 Series is what the new 3 Series-based coupes and convertibles will be called, so the idea of another four-door version just sort of seems redundant. In other words, just how different will a 4 Series Gran Coupe be from a 3 Series sedan, aside from perhaps a more rakish roofline or a four-passenger seating configuration? Probably not much, but BMW clearly thinks it can use the additional bodystyle to rake in some extra profits.

Anyway, back to these spy shots. No more of the 4GC's skin has been revealed since the last time we saw it, but we fully expect it to share a lot of its design DNA with the 3 Series sedan, not to mention the attractive 4 Series coupe concept that bowed at this year's Detroit Auto Show.
Powertrain options should carry over direct from the 3 Series line, so we expect to see 428i and 435i models on hand, packing turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines, respectively. We're sure that BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive will be available, and who knows, we could even get a 428d version with the new 2.0-liter turbodiesel four that debuted in the 328d at the New York Auto Show last week, or even an M4 variant.
After ninety years in business and first-to-market motorcycle innovations like the one-piece 'tunnel' crankcase, hydraulically dampened front forks and full fairings, as well as that trademark boxer engine, BMW Motorrad is celebrating its nonagenarian status with a video: You can follow the ride on BMW motorcycles from 1923 to now in just 90 seconds.
Okay, so there's more than a video - some anniversary-themed bikes and a new retro boxer model celebrating the R 32 "airhead' from 1923 also commemorate the occasion. But you can start with the video, and that's below.
