Can I claim the lowest mile original e30 ix for sale-I think so.
About the car, this is a one family-father bought, son inherited car from Medina Ohio. Sold and serviced by the BMW dealer Sewickley BMW. ( I am pursuing them for actual service records but as of today I only have the service book stamps) It has the book stamped until 50,000/1998. This car than was driven very very little for the next 15 years. It was then bought to the Midwest one year ago, and transferred to me.
The car has no rust, garaged its entire life. Its spare(Pictured) has never been mounted-car now has 5 new tires.
All options work, sunroof, cruise, and ac equipped, pass thru and Heated seats of course! It is a 5 spd. Non originall radio-cd alpine with ipod hook up-speakers tastefully up graded, disconnected power antenna-its there but i hate those things and so I disconnected it-.
Interior is excellent as is paint, body fit.But i wish to point out it is like new but is a car with 72000 miles on it.
Tires were delivered yesterday, i badly wanted to drive it today(last pic is my back yard-its snowing like crazy!) .
Brakes and rotors are brand new as is fluid. I will post a pic of the inside of the engine later this week-plugs and valve adjustment are scheduled.
Timing belt sticker under hood appears to have 62000 miles written on it-but it is smudged, date same. Honestly, i cannot claim its age, nor be absolutely sure of exactly 62000 miles..Car runs out excellent. With that said, at the auctions conclusion i offer to the winning bidder to take it where ever they wish and have a belt put on here in Omaha, of if they choose-transport to home and have it done there-at their cost.
About me, I bought this to have in my collection. I have had 6 e30s including a 1989 74000 mile ix. I know these cars and appreciate their excellent qualities. I was an Ase certified Mercedes trained service tech.
Due to Multiple Sclerosis I am selling this car.
If i was healthy, I would NEVER consider selling this car. I am having a very hard time selling it now.
Clear title in my name for the next owner.
Shipping is buyer responsibility-sold as is where is
Anything i can do to help-contact me thru EBAY and i will do my best.
Please ask questions-I have had numerous offers to sell it but quite frankly we feel that an auction will be the most fair to everyone. It will not be sold outside of the auction and the reserve is set at what a BMW dealer offered. If you wish to have it inspected, i will be happy to assist however i can.
I will accept a paypal deposit of $500.00 within 24hours of auction end. The balance by wire transfer preferred.
UPDATE: Talked with Sewickley BMW today and was told that they can confirm that this car was EXTREMELY well cared for-including a new radiator, timing belt, tensioner and seals and all other required parts 13000 miles ago-10 years ago. Knew the owners, enjoyed servicing their many cars including this one.
Thank you Sewickley BMW

BMW may keep next 1 Series out of the US
Tue, 07 May 2013As BMW prepares to introduce the all-new 2 Series coupe and convertible, the 1 Series name definitely won't be going away. We know new sedan and hatchback models are in the works; including the GT shown above. According to Car and Driver, though, the future of the 1 Series nameplate in the US could be dependent on rival premium small cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and Audi A3.
In an interview with C/D, BMW's North American head of product planning and strategy, Paul Ferraiolo, said that pricing might be the biggest deterrent to offering the third-gen 1 Series in the US. As he points out, BMW currently prices the 1 not too far from the 3 Series, but Mercedes-Benz and Audi will have their new small cars priced well below the $30,000 mark. BMW's Mini brand will also factor into the consideration since the 1 GT will share its underpinnings with the next-gen Cooper lineup.
The 2014 Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio powers up luxury and speed
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The BMW specialists at Alpina know how to exploit a niche when they see one. With the BMW M4 still not technically official, it saw the need for a higher performance four-seat convertible than the 435i 'vert. Enter the new B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio that is debuting at the Geneva Motor Show.
The European-exclusive model takes BMW's 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-6 and massages it up to 410 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, which is less power but more twist than the M4 would give buyers. Alpina's tend to be built more as quick, luxurious grand tourers, and the B4 Bi-Turbo gets is no different with an adaptive sport suspension and an eight-speed automatic. Plus it wears the classic pinstripes and 21-spoke wheels that are the brand's design hallmarks.
While the added weight for the convertible means that the Cabrio takes 4.5 seconds to reach 62 miles per hour, about a half-second slower than the coupe, at the moment it is the only way to get this kind of performance in a BMW convertible. Orders for the convertible open in March in Europe and prices in Germany start at 74,800 euros ($102,878 at today's conversion rates).
BMW recalls diesel X5 models over fuel filter heater
Mon, 19 Aug 2013
BMW has announced that it is recalling 1,540 examples of its 2009 and 2010 X5 xDrive35d crossovers produced between June 13, 2009 and November 9, 2009.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the model's fuel filter heater, which warms up the diesel fuel at low outside temperatures, can experience an electrical overload condition that may cause it to become permanently activated. This means the fuel filter heater could remain activated even when the ignition is off, which could lead to a dead battery. It could also lead to overheating, possibly resulting in a fire.
