History:
This 1984 BMW 323i is a German spec model (not made in the US) and was just imported to the United States a few weeks ago. It was purchased and shipped from Germany and has had NO modifications due EPA clause stating no emissions or body modifications are required for import if 25 years or older. This is not considered a grey market vehicle but a true German specification vehicle.

This BMW 323i was first registered on 21 Feb 1984 to a man named Manfred H. who was born in 1937. The vehicle was sold and registered in April 1997 to a man named Norbert R. who was born in 1939. The vehicle is now currently registered in my name and up for sale because I am unable to store it as this vintage/classic car should be.

Non-smoking vehicle. Spotless carpets, seats and perfect headliner. No damage on door panels and no dashboard cracks (no fading due to sunlight / always garage kept). All lighting functional. All seat belts roll quickly and completely. No damage to trunk mat or panels. New spare tire with wheel (original alloy wheel). Clean engine compartment.

THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A GERMAN SPEC BMW E30 in PRISTINE CONDITION and all GERMAN REGISTRATION/TITLING DOCUMENTS. You will have all documents and history with this vehicle.  Real original vehicles with complete and comprehensible history without any conversions are not common on the open market.

This BMW 323i was produced without catalytic converter.

I am looking for a true E30 BMW lover to appreciate how special this vehicle is. I cannot maintain and store it as I would like as I just moved to Texas and have no garage (vehicle was ALWAYS garage kept).

There's much more information and over 140 pictures available for serious inquiries. Parts included (for preventative maintenance): Spark plug wires, plugs, distributor cap, air filters, oil filters, seals, etc. Also, just purchased Weathertech all-weather floor mats. (Over $600 in extras)

BMW X4 hatches its fastback shape in Shanghai

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

The day has finally come for BMW to pull the covers off its X4 Concept at the Shanghai Motor Show. The machine brings few surprises - we've already seen an official image gallery from the German automaker, so its exterior shape was well known - but at least now we get to see it with our own eyes, and with the lenses of our very own cameras.
You can clearly see the fastback roofline in our high-res image gallery above, along with the jacked-up stance that allows BMW to call this machine a Sports Activity Vehicle, which basically means "Crossover" to our friends in Munich. We've seen similar vehicle shapes before, most notably in the form of the BMW X6, but also as far back as the 1980s from the likes of AMC.
We fully expect the transition from concept to production to be pretty seamless, so what we see here is, for the most part, what we'll see on the showroom floor in 2014. Feel free to peruse the press release below, but first, be sure to browse through our live images from Shanghai and let us know what you think.

2014 BMW X5 configurator goes live

Sun, 28 Jul 2013

BMW won't begin selling the 2014 X5 for another few months, but the German manufacturer has brought the third-generation SAV's configurator online, allowing interested customers to poke around and look at the X5's optional goodies.
Like the 3 Series, the X5 is available in a number of lines that load up extras automatically. There's also a do-it-yourself truck that allows owners to pick and choose if they're not enamored with the styling or trim of one of the dedicated packages. As usual, the options list is quite vast, regardless of which line is chosen. We were able to easily take the new, rear-drive X5 sDrive35i, which started at $52,800, and bring the total price up past $80,000.
The new X5 carries over its 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 from the current model, as well as BMW's excellent 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six. The X5 xDrive35d, with the 3.0-liter turbodiesel will also be available on the third-generation SUV, but won't hit dealers until early 2014. BMW is stepping outside of the X5's usual bounds, offering a dedicated rear-drive model, available with all the same trimmings as the xDrive vehicles. Head over to BMW's US consumer page and have a go.

Check out 90 years of BMW Motorrad in 90 seconds

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

After ninety years in business and first-to-market motorcycle innovations like the one-piece 'tunnel' crankcase, hydraulically dampened front forks and full fairings, as well as that trademark boxer engine, BMW Motorrad is celebrating its nonagenarian status with a video: You can follow the ride on BMW motorcycles from 1923 to now in just 90 seconds.
Okay, so there's more than a video - some anniversary-themed bikes and a new retro boxer model celebrating the R 32 "airhead' from 1923 also commemorate the occasion. But you can start with the video, and that's below.
