2011 BMW 128i Convertible 6 Speed with 28,130 miles.

Alpine White, Coral Red Boston Leather (not leatherette) with Black top.

This is a beautiful, no-nonsense Bimmer convertible.  Factory BMW full warranty and free maintenance to 4yr/50k miles.  One previous owner from Florida.  Clean Carfax/Autocheck.  No paintwork or accident history.

Multifunction leather-covered Sport steering wheel, cruise control, Automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, power windows/locks/top, etc....  Tilt/telescoping steering wheel.  Prepped for satellite radio.  Manual seats and manual transmission for the purists!  (Also a great safety feature because you cant TEXT and SHIFT at the same time!)

Continental ContiSportContact tires with lots of tread. Virtually flawless throughout, only a little curb rash on one wheel, see picture.

This car gets great gas mileage, has plenty of power and looks great! Drives like a dream!  These 1 Series are great cars and harken back to the BMW 2002 of old.  Small, light, nimble and simple.  (Pretty soon, all BMW engines are going to be turbocharged, so get a good all-motor straight 6 while you still can!)

2013 Nissan GT-R and 2013 Alpina B6 mix it up on track and street

Fri, 24 May 2013

Here we have Autocar making an unforeseen comparison: the Nissan GT-R against the Alpina B6 at Brands Hatch and on public roads. Steve Sutcliffe clobbers the circuit in the 3,828-pound, all-wheel-drive sports car, then sees how well the 4,114-pound, rear-wheel drive grand tourer does against it.
Sutcliffe says there are quite a few similarities between the two cars, but that's really only on the spec sheet. The Nissan's got two turbos attached to its 3.8-liter V6, 542 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. The Alpina's got two turbos attached to its 4.4-liter V8, 532 hp and 528 lb-ft. But one's brief is to be a monster on the track, the other on the boulevard, and if there's anything the video demonstrates, it's each car's focus.

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo burns all the midnight oil

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

We've got good news and bad news for you, boys and girls, from the floor of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The good news is that the BMW M3 has come early, with a diesel, in wagon form - albeit with a different name. The bad news is that it will in all likelihood never make it to America. Which is a shame, because it's awesome.
What we're talking about, of course, is the new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo. BMW's wickedly talented but lesser know stepchild has created a 3 Series with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel six packing 345 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You - and by "you," we mean overseas buyers - can choose between sedan or wagon, as well as rear- or all-wheel drive. But the bottom line is a 4.6-second 0-62 time and a 173-mph top speed... from a diesel.
We scoped out the rear-drive wagon Alpina brought to the show, decked out in its signature blue. And you can, too, in the gallery of live shots above, along with the freshly assembled stock photos of both sedan and wagon versions in the gallery below.

BMW Active Tourer to hit US showrooms in 2015

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

It's been over a year since BMW unveiled the Concept Active Tourer at the Paris Motor Show, and another four months since it brought the concept back in Outdoor guise (pictured above). Now word has it that the Bavarian automaker is putting it into production.
Although production specs and dimensions have yet to be revealed, the Concept Active Tourer came in a bit smaller than the existing BMW X1. The production version is expected to be based on the same platform that underpins the new Mini hatchback revealed last week in LA, meaning that it will be predominantly front-drive, but an all-wheel-drive version could follow.
There will also be a longer version with a third row of seats, forming part of a new generation of front-drive BMWs to take on the likes of the Audi A1 and Mercedes-Benz A-Class family, of which the GLA will be the Active Tourer's most direct rival. Expect the Active Tourer to arrive in 2015 with a new front-drive sedan to follow in 2017 aimed particularly at the North American and Chinese markets.
