This Audi looks and runs great! It  was owned and loved by an Audi technician for most of its life so we have most records on the car. The engine was rebuilt about 90k ago including timing belt and water pumps. Smooth running great performance, A Competition clutch was installed in 2009 shifts smooth, Turbo has good boost, The car was painted last summer with Euro Base Coat Clear Coat and shines nicely but has picked up 3 or 4 very small chips due to normal driver use and one crack 2 inch on the bumper. The interior is very nice and clean for the age, with power heated seats, door locks, windows, sunroof, electrics and lights all working, New Nokkia Hakkepeliitta snow tires on the factory S4 wheels, The car reads 255.134k but due to the meticulous maintenance and being garaged in rust free Colorado this Audi feels more like a 65.000 mile car. Please feel free to call with any questions or to scheduled a test drive Call Rodney 720-849-8663   Thanks for looking

Audi TT spy shots reveal revised lighting elements

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

As we inch closer to an expected Geneva debut for the next-generation Audi TT, our latest round of spy photos are starting to give us an even better look at Audi's latest sports car. This time out, we're getting more details on the car's head and taillights.
It's safe to say that the new headlight design will not incorporate the twin rally lights we see mounted on the next TT's grille, but our spy photos do show off the wide, angular new lights in even greater detail than previous photos. The rear lights, meanwhile, look like they'll retain a similar shape to what's seen on the current car, while new LED details lend a degree of freshness to the look.
As we mentioned, we're predicting Audi will debut the next TT at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show in March. We expect, though, to have more on the car before that time. Stay tuned.

2014 Audi R8 V8

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Where to even begin with the Audi R8 V8.
Let's start with the Ferrari 458 Italia, a car that doubles the base price of the Audi. It's much more fun to drive than it is to talk about; discussions among enthusiasts usually begin with someone saying, "It's amazing!" and end with everyone else agreeing. Opposite that is the vast, swirling nebula of cars that are often more fun to talk about than they are to drive.
In between, there are very few cars that are as fun to discuss as they are to drive, and this Audi is one. It's a car that challenges our notions about its actual competitive set and, even better, its philosophical competitive set, its driving experience, its price, its future, its present viewed from the future, and its verifiable and/or potential pedigree.

Researchers halfway to cutting carbon fiber costs by 90%

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

Carbon fiber has been utilized for decades to build racecars, as a means to cut weight while maintaining strength. But until recently, the space-age material has been largely absent from the street on anything but supercars because of the expense to use it. Recently, BMW signaled a major shift in that trend when it starting using carbon fiber reinforced plastic panels on the i3 and i8. This relatively small scale start might be just the beginning; the German company believes that a breakthrough to inexpensively manufacture the lightweight stuff is just on the horizon.
MAI Carbon Cluster Management GmbH counts BMW, Audi, Airbus, the German government and many other organizations as supporters, and it's researching how to make carbon fiber cheaper to produce, according to Automotive News Europe. The company thinks it can reduce costs by 90 percent in the near future. "We've certainly reached a halfway point on our cost-cutting target for suitable carbon-fiber parts," said project head Klaus Drechsler to Automotive News Europe.
Unfortunately, it isn't entirely clear just what MAI Carbon is doing to make such a huge leap possible. However, a recent post on the company's website talks about a new form a carbon fiber using a thermoplastic matrix that could be cured in less than three minutes. That's compared to about 90 minutes in the traditional process with an autoclave.
