***Please note this car has a Salvage/Reconstructed Title***

This is a very rare and hard to find car (currently only 4 listed on Autotrader and not a single one for sale on eBay). It was hard to find an exact number of this model that were produced for the US market but it's somewhere around 300, only produced for sale in 2008 in the RS4 Cabriolet Model. Current book value is $51,500, that is if you could find another one with only 14k miles. Put this car into your collection or to good use pounding the pavement for all but $20,000 under value. Read on for a full and thorough description.

Mechanically this car is excellent. Starts up smooth with no smoke or problems, 6-Speed transmission shifts excellent and clutch feels great. No engine or warning lights on, all options are currently working (Cold a/c, hot heat, navigation, Bose sound, power top, all power windows, steering wheel controls, ect). It has a set of matching Continental tires with 95% tread remaining. Brakes stop well and the car tracks well down the highway and handles phenomenal. There are no current problems or concerns with this car, get in it and drive it home to California if thats where you need to take it, it's that good.

Cosmetically this car is in excellent shape, but it is not absolutely perfect. I will list the flaws first because that's the kind of sales I do; rear bumper near center parking sensor indented (see photo), 3 of 4 wheels have minor scuffs(see photo), rear hatch has 3 very small scuffs (see photo). There is no previous paintwork on any of the metal body panels, the car is wholesome and straight. I just had it professionally detailed by PresidentialDetails.com go to their website to see the quality and pride that Barry Theil takes when cleaning a car correctly. He also took off the original clear bra that was on the hood, fenders, front bumper and door edges. I can assure you that none of the body panels were ever replaced or altered. Paint shines excellent, all body panels line up great. The top is also in excellent condition. The interior is the same way, showing no wear on any of the interior panels, parts, or fabrics. It's a great car overall.

This is a great opportunity for someone to get into a car of this caliber and prestige for a wonderful value. I believe you could purchase this car and drive it for a few years and still resell it for the same price that you paid. 2015 Audi A3 TDI Challenge

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

I officially gave up after 758 miles. The 15 or so miles leading up to this decision were spent in the right lane of Southern California's I-8 freeway, hazard lights blinking, climbing uphill at just over 40 miles per hour. After two days of sweating to the oldies (okay, a mix of SiriusXM Classic Rewind and First Wave), I had covered those 758 miles in a 2015 Audi A3 TDI on one tank of diesel fuel. And when I say sweating, I mean it quite literally. In order to maximize fuel efficiency, my co-driver and I kept the air conditioning off, even when the direct sunlight in the California desert had outside temperatures hovering around 90 degrees. I had been doing this hypermiling exercise for two days, the car was getting stinky, and I was ready to hear the sweet "thhhhhhhwack" of satisfaction that would finally come from peeling my sweat-soaked self off the A3's leather seat. Sexy, I know.
Audi had challenged me to drive 834 miles from Albuquerque, NM to San Diego, CA, on just one 13.2-gallon tank of diesel fuel. If you believe the EPA's highway fuel economy rating of 43 miles per gallon, this means I should have sputtered to a stop after 568 miles. But I went a grand total of 758 - that's 59.4 mpg - and I could have kept going. In fact, two teams made it the full 834 miles on their one allotted tank of fuel. That's over 63 mpg. That's twenty miles per gallon better than EPA estimates.
The TDI Challenge took me through three states over the course of two days, and the 834-mile journey wasn't just a simple highway cruise. I negotiated uphill climbs, long series of involving switchbacks through the mountains and elevations that ranged from 220 feet below sea level to nearly 8,000 feet above. I learned that super-crazy-efficient driving like this an incredibly challenging game that takes serious skill. But I also learned that if you're going to attempt to stomp all over the EPA's numbers, the Audi A3 TDI is one heck of a car for the journey.

Audi releases quartet of A3 commercials, likely headed for Super Bowl

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

With the announcement from Audi that it's new A3 would be the star of this year's Super Bowl advertising efforts still relatively fresh, it comes as a bit of a shock that what may be game-bound ads for the new small car are already starting to show up.
A3forums found four ads for the new A3, all of which are currently unlisted on YouTube, that play on the idea of young drivers saving themselves for the right luxury car. The spots are amusing, although we'll admit that we've seen better from Audi. Each spot plays like a clip from a documentary, with owners of cars from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus talking about their regrets when it came to buying a luxury car, rather than waiting for the A3.
We've got all four videos below, so take a look now, as we're betting they'll be pulled before too long.

Audi prepping minor refresh for S6

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Audi is well underway with testing for all of the refreshed versions of its A6-based sedan. We've already shown you shots of the Euro-spec A6 Allroad (which will wear some of its styling with our US-spec A6 sedan), and now we have some shots of a car that will actually arrive in the United States - the S6.
Like the Allroad, this will be quite a modest refresh, with tweaks to the headlights and taillights, as well as some slightly revised front and rear fascias. The headlights should get a new LED DRL pattern, although we doubt the changes will be much more drastic than that.
As with the Allroad, it seems likely that Audi will make a few very small changes to the interior, while the MMI infotainment system should also see an update. Changes under the hood, though, are more difficult to guess. That said, minor changes could be in store, but don't expect a dramatic increase in power or performance.
