2002 Audi A6 Premium Sedan 4-door 3.ol Not Running on 2040-cars

I have a 2002 Audi A6, that is not running, for sale. I haven't had the car diagnosed, but I think the problem is the fuel pump. Car turns over, and every now and then sounds like there is a little combustion happening, but not enough to start. I am giving no guarantee that the problem is the fuel pump, this is just a guess. The car was running fine, then all of the sudden it wouldn't start and has been sitting in my driveway ever since. The rest of the bad is as follows. The transmission has the notorious flashing PRNDS that is common to this CVT transmission. The car drove fine, but you couldn't use the sport shift feature, and had very little power in reverse. There are many shops that you can send the TCM to, and they will fix the board and send it back to you (approx. $240 including shipping on ebay), but you need to be able to pull the TCM, which means you need to pull the transmission housing (if you buy the service for the TCM rebuild, they will send you instructions on how to pull the TCM). Not difficult if you know your way around these cars, but I just never had the time. There is also a small tear in one of the CV boots. I have a brand new set of CV joints at my house, and if you are handy, this is a very easy replacement. The car has a few very minor hail dings (less then 10) and one small dent in the drivers side fender and the center console cupholder is broken (should be about $20 from Audi). The windshield was cracked when someone tried to replace the rearview mirror, and will need to be replaced ($275 if you have safelite come to you and replace it).
Now for the good. This car was fully loaded from the factory. It came with the Bose stereo system with the 6 disc in dash CD player, which sounds amazing still. It has the leather heated seats, which are in great condition. It has the power moonroof and the A/C blew ice cold when the car was running. The car has the Xenon HID Projector lights from the factory. I just replaced the front 2 tires, and the full size spare also has a good tire on it, but the rear tires should be replaced soon. All the brakes have been done within the last 2 years. This car was very fun to drive, and I hate to sell it, but I work 2 jobs and have a family, and just don't have the time to fix it. You will need to arrange for a tow, or come with a trailer. If you want to take the time to part it out, it should be very lucritive. The engine with similiar miles sells for over $2,000 and the Transmission can sell for over $1500. The headlights sell for around $500-$600 for the set. I see the leather seats sell for $600-$800 regularly, and each door can sell for at least $200. Stereo usually goes anywhere from $200-$400 and each of the little plastic trim pieces inside sell for $20-$300. |

Editors' Picks September 2021 | Genesis GV70, Grand Cherokee L and more
Mon, Oct 11 2021This month of Editors' Picks saw us award the honor to a few top-notch crossovers and SUVs, plus one luxury sportback. Manufacturers keep rolling out excellent new crossovers, and the Genesis GV70 and Jeep Grand Cherokee L are great examples. Plus, living the good life with our long-term Hyundai Palisade has been evidence enough that it's worthy of an editors' pick. Read on below for the full breakdown and see what made the cut for September. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in August that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Genesis GV70 2022 Genesis GV70 at Mt St Helens View 37 Photos Quick take: Genesis' first shot at a compact luxury crossover is a strong one that moves the segment forward and makes for an excellent alternative to one of the many other established options. Props to Genesis for its risk-taking design, which has remade its lineup with confidence. The GV70 is just the latest in a series of wins for Genesis." Turbochargers, like acoustic guitars, use moving air to create magic. And electric turbochargers, like electric guitars, provide the ability to amp up that magic to amazing new levels.
Why BMWs are cheaper than Hyundais in Korea
Sat, 18 May 2013Bloomberg reports shifting tariff regulations have upended the traditional automotive pecking order in Korea. Thanks to cheaper import taxes, foreign brands have seen market share jump from 28 percent to 41 percent over the last two years. BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi have all capitalized on the shift, with domestics like Hyundai and Kia suffering at the hands of their German rivals.
Taxes on European imports have fallen from 8 percent in 2011 to just 3.2 percent today. Over the next few years, tariffs will all but be eliminated for most imports, and taxes on US-made vehicles are expected to fall to just 4 percent in 2014. By 2016, that number will be zero. Needless to say, Hyundai and Kia are concerned about the shift.
Hyundai has seen profit fall by 15 percent last quarter, and the company says it is on pace to see the slowest sales growth since 2007. The company's shares have fallen by 12 percent. In order to stem the losses, Hyundai has discounted its midsize sedans and started working on diesel engine options.
