1999 Audi A6 Quattro Avant Wagon 4-door 2.8l on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, New York, United States
You are bidding on nice and clean Audi A6 Quattro Avant Wagon. It's an all wheel drive sporty wagon in very good condition. It has leather interior, which is showing normal wear for the age, but no rips or tears. The carpet in rear compartment has some stains, but otherwise is in very good condition. The car has famous BOSE sound system from factory, with subwoofer and CD changer in rear compartment. It also has such a rare option like heated rear seats. A/C is blowing ice-cold air. Front tires are new, rear tires have about 25% left on them. The battery is good, engine starts right away. THE MOST IMPORTANT: TIMING BELT, TENSIONER, WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT AND BOTH BELT IDLERS WERE REPLACED RECENTLY, so you don't have to worry about for another 75,000 miles. Front brake rotors and brake pads are also brand new. Rear brakes are in very good condition. The car runs and drives very good, like it should for a luxury German car. The paint is nice and shiny. The only problem in this car are missing pixels on middle display of dashboard, but it can be easily fixed for $150, if you cannot live without it.
I described the car to the best of my knowledge. If you need any additional information, please feel free to ask, I'll be more than happy to answer your questions. The car is sold AS IS, with NO RESERVE, so the highest bidder will take it. Thank you and happy bidding! Audi TT Sportback Concept rounds out an icon
Thu, 02 Oct 2014That German automakers seem singularly fixated on filling any white space between their models isn't new - the last decade-plus has seen their showrooms overflowing with niche models, some of which seemingly occupy sub-genres of sub-genres. To our eyes, there's often diminishing aesthetic and utilitarian returns to go along with the heightened price tags that accompany these models, but we're beginning to think Audi is tackling its personal diversity initiative best. Unlike the often heavy-handed designs from rivals (we're looking at you, BMW), Ingolstadt seems to be doing doing a more graceful job of carving out models between models. The latest proof of this is the TT Sportback Concept, just unveiled here at the Paris Motor Show.
After showing off its Allroad Shooting Brake Concept in Detroit and, more recently, in the Offroad Concept in Beijing amidst rumors of the TT sports car platform expanding into an entire family, we're not surprised to see this more utilitarian five-door hatchback showcar here in France. This, despite the fact that Audi already counts similarly proportioned A5 Sportback and A7 Sportback models in its lineup.
Of the TT line extension concepts, this Sportback certainly looks the most production ready, with a bare minimum of showcar tinsel masking realistic proportions and detailing. We think it's quite handsome from stem to stern, even if it's a bit familiar looking. The design incorporates Audi's trademark big-grille look with the TT's prominent arched roofline and heavily radiused fenders, along with a rear lighting graphic that subtly echoes the A3. Despite its leggy looks, the TT Sportback Concept is surprisingly compact, spanning less than a foot longer overall than the production 2016 TT despite its 4.7-inch longer wheelbase and extra set of doors. Those sleek looks come at least partially as the result of an overall height that sits 1.2 inches lower than the TT coupe.
Next Audi TT glimpsed, same as it ever was?
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Audi has teased the new TT coupe ahead of its Geneva Motor Show reveal with renderings and video, but now, what appears to be a photo of the new two-door has leaked onto the web, courtesy of Autofans.be. And if you're thinking, "Well, jeez, that looks familiar," you definitely aren't alone. Aside from the new lighting character in the taillamps, everything you see here looks pretty much unchanged from the old car. Of course, the front should get a nice freshening, and that interior should be super-high-tech. We'll reserve final judgments until we see the new TT live in Geneva next week.
Notes from day one of the Rolex 24 at Daytona
Sat, 26 Jan 2013We came to Daytona Beach, Florida where you can drive on the beach, gun shops outnumber doughnut shops and you can putt-putt and fish for alligators at the same place. But we're not here for any of that - we've made the trip with Audi in order to experience the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the first race in the 2013 Grand-Am season and the only 24-hour race in America.
Three teams are racing four Audi R8 Grand-Am cars - WeatherTech Racing, Rum Bum Racing and APR, which is running two cars. Shown to the world two years ago, the R8 Grand-Am is part of Audi Sport's R8 LMS customer racing program that was commenced in 2008, and ever since 2009 has been nabbing success all over the world: In four years it has taken 154 victories and 17 series titles. That is with less than 100 cars sold to customers throughout the world, and the trophies - either class wins or overall victories - have been gathered from all of the major endurance races except one: Daytona.
