For sale is our 1989 Audi Quattro 100 4dr. sedan which we owned for approximately 16 years. The vehicle has been great to us over the years and we have replaced many parts throughout the years to include a new steering rack, fuel pump ,headliner,  and tires. and painted the original color with BASF Glasurit paint (flamingo metallic) with all dings being removed. The vehicle still looks great but may have a few dings here and there but overall it's  a great car. Please continue reading.....

The most recent replacements was a complete overhaul of the a/c unit including flushing the lines and replacing the accumulator, evaporator, a/c line, a/c compressor and cleaning out the heater core. This was a huge job costing over $1,000. I recently replaced the clutch actuator (as it was leaking on the driver's floormat), replaced the starter a few hundred miles ago and last the radiator.

Now the strange part is after installing the radiator I checked for leaks and found none as I replaced the hoses and ensured I utilized 50/50 antifreeze and distilled water. The part that I can not figure out is that after I drove the vehicle a few times I noticed all was ok but after parking it and coming back from doing errands I noticed a good size puddle of antifreeze on the ground. I looked everywhere I cannot find where it is coming from as the hoses, radiator and heater core all looked dry and free of leaks. The only thing I can think of is the head gasket but the car still drives and runs great with no smoke out of the exhaust at all.

Overall the car is very clean and well taken care of and with a used vehicle comes some small things to do which in this case is the sunroof headliner is sagging but no big deal to fix. Tires are in good shape but could probably use some bushings in the rear control arms as they are worn. There are no noticeable dents other than the one I pushed out but it's located above the rear bumper and under the trunk lid and is not that bad. It's the size of a golf ball as somebody backed into the car a year or so ago and I did not want to put more money in the car as it's only cosmetic. The power windows work other than the right rear window and the power locks never worked when we bought it as these Audi's have air assisted or vacuum assist which was trouble-shot for hours with negative results, therefore we lock it manually.

Brakes are good with 4 wheel discs and manual shift (5 speed)  A/C could use a recharging (R-12) as I did not convert it over to R134A. Otherwise it's been a great car and we are looking for someone else to take it and drive it for however many years and or miles.      Thanks for looking and if any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

SOLD AS IS, NO GUARANTEES OR WARANTEES AVAILABLE

Thanks and Happy Bidding !!!

More next-gen Audi TT details revealed

Fri, 10 May 2013

We still only have rumors about the third-generation Audi TT said to be scheduled for launch in late 2014, but based on a report in Car and Driver, we know a tiny bit more about it. The base engine will be the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with direct injection, but horsepower is said to be 220 horsepower - that would make for a nine-hp jump over the current output. The TTS would get an even larger power boost, going from 265 currently to 300 hp. The TT RS would stick with it's 2.5-liter five cylinder, with output increased from 360 to 380 hp. If Audi includes a nice dose of the go-light engineering involved in the TT Ultra Quattro, these horsepower numbers might be even more impressive.
As with the TT concept and first-generation production car, though, it sounds like the brand is concentrating on aesthetics. It's been widely reported that Audi wants to reclaim the juju conjured by the original TT, and while we still don't know what that means outside, CD reports that the interior gets simplified, "futuristic-feeling" styling thanks to instruments served up on a TFT screen. Remember, the first Audi TT had a cockpit that Car magazine dubbed simply, "The Cabin."
About a year after the coupe comes, the Audi TT Roadster will show up and should be joined by the next A5. The news for the next version of the subtly beautiful coupe is the arrival of a plug-in hybrid with torque vectoring via an electric motor for the rear axle. Beyond that is wilder speculation of an A9, which might be called Q9, and which was the four-door-coupe flavor of the month two years ago when it was possibly going to share a platform with the Lamborghini Estoque. According to the CD story, the thinking now is around "a combination of fastback and crossover proportions," a two-fer we've yet to see any carmaker pull off without making us go, "Oh. I see."

2015 Audi TT picks up the style, pace with Xcar

Mon, 03 Nov 2014

With the original TT, Audi arguably valued style over substance. The equation reversed - at least to an extent - with the second-generation model. But with this latest MkIII version, the German automaker appears to have finally imbued its compact sports car with the performance to back up its runway looks.
That is, at least, what the team at Xcar has to say, having driven the latest Audi sports coupe on the rainy roads of Scotland - taking in its crisp lines, sharp handling, nippy performance and impressive technology along the way. But don't let us spoil it for you: Watch for yourself to see how the new TT measures up against its stylish forebears.

Audi sees room for TT family, including possible crossover and superlight models

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

With the third-generation Audi TT slated for a debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in just a few weeks time, we've received some interesting news out of the United Kingdom. Speaking to the crew at Top Gear, Chief Engineer Ulrich Hackenberg made some interesting statements about the next TT, noting that he likes the idea of a production Allroad Shooting Brake.
"I can imagine the TT has much more potential than we have used up to now. That's why we did this Allroad [Shooting Brake] Concept. The trend is to smaller crossovers. So for example you do a crossover TT. It would have a big group of fans," Hackenberg told TG.
That makes it almost sound like Audi is trying to expand one popular, fashion-forward model into a wildly different niche, like Mini did moving from Hardtop to Countryman (or perhaps more appropriately, the Paceman). We'll reserve judgement, if only because the Allroad Shooting Brake was one of the more popular concepts at the Detroit Auto Show, making our Editors' Choice list.
