This is the NSX you have been waiting for! This is a 1993 Acura NSX, this vehicle is all original, with the exception of wheels and air cleaner and as you can see in the picture they are also included in this sale. I can assure you this is by far one of the cleanest, well maintained NSX on the market, rarely do I ever see an NSX in better condition. If you are looking for a collector vehicle this is certainly the one. This vehicle has only had ONE previous owner and I have owned this vehicle for the past 16 years, it has been garaged and kept under a car cover the entire time. Seldom does it ever see sun and has never seen rain. All the typical items that tend to malfunction with these vehicles have been repaired or replaced, the climate control has been repaired, ABS modulator and pump have been replaced and the radio has also been repaired. Everything is in working order, A/C, radio, power windows and power seats, the only major repair ever done to this vehicle was a new clutch 6000 miles ago. It has been fitted with custom made HRE three piece all aluminum wheels, it also has a K&N Air Filter and Zanardi Floor Mats. I also have a custom fit premium car cover that will go with the vehicle. Acura NSX production car headed for Detroit debut?
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Auto Express is reporting that Honda is set to unveil the production version of its upcoming Acura NSX at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The news comes courtesy of an unnamed "top exec" for Honda Brazil speaking at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. The concept version of the Japanese supercar is currently on display there. Interestingly enough, the same unnamed source claims the production iteration will remain aesthetically identical to the show car. You won't hear any qualms from us on that front.
Of course, the timing of the production debut is a little confusing. For starters, when Acura unveiled the concept last year, the company told the world it would be at least three years before production began. That would give the street-worthy model a 2014 or 2015 designation, the latter being cited more often in media accounts. Thus, we'll keep an eye out for the hybrid supercar in Motown, but we're going to stop short of holding our breath... it might be a while.
Did Acura just confirm it's working on an Integra successor?
Fri, 07 Nov 2014The Acura Integra (pictured above in Type R trim) was one of the definitive vehicles of the Acura brand in the US, having joined the Legend at the marque's birth here. However, since the retirement of the RSX, the luxury arm of Honda has lacked a compact, sporty coupe to fill that niche. There appears to be a chance of that absence possibly coming to an end in the coming years, though.
Acura lead designer Dave Marek spoke to Car and Driver during the SEMA Show and said, "A performance brand needs a flagship and it needs an accessible sport car. Not a sports car, but a sport car." However, he also suggested that a new model wouldn't be spinning its tires too soon, at least not before 2017 by his indication.
While the vague possibility of a new sports coupe is still years away, Acura is taking its early steps in a brand revitalization campaign that includes spinning the luxury arm further away from Honda. The strong initial sales of the TLX are certainly a good start, but the work appears to just be beginning, according to Marek. "There are changes coming, and then there are more changes coming," he said to Car and Driver.
Production Acura NSX spied getting sharper on the 'Ring
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Acura hasn't been shy about trotting out the concept version of its upcoming NSX hybrid supercar - we've seen it colorized on Facebook, wearing Super GT drag and running wrapped at Mid Ohio - but until now, we've missed seeing the production version at all. Thankfully, our boys in the field have been diligently camped out by the Nürburgring, just the place for Acura engineers to get the NSX shaken down and ready for the public.
The first thing you'll likely notice (and no doubt appreciate) is that Acura is staying very true to the concept car. The same wind-tunnel-carved wedge shape is in evidence in the car's silhouette, and details like aggressively scalloped engine vents behind the cabin have made it through unscathed.
We do notice that there are some vertical elements at the bottom of the front fascia/grille that appear to be revised, and the mirrors are considerably less slinky than those of the concept car. Still, by and large, we're seeing a direct translation from show stand to real life here.
