Collector 1991 Acura NSX Black/Black 5 Speed.  No accidents or damage ever.  Clean/clear title history.  Original paint and interior, both in fantastic condition.  Great original condition cosmetically.  Original paint and interior, in great shape.  No accidents or issues ever.  The motor was fully refreshed with all gaskets, hoses, upgraded cooling system with superior hoses and cores.  All fluids were changed.  Timing belt was done.  Head was machined.  It was fully resealed and that other work completed at 154k miles less than 2 years ago and it is an ultra reliable driver.  Currently it has 161k.  Original starter rebuilt a few months ago.

Upgraded full Tein Coil Over Suspension ($2200).  Enkei Racing Wheels (NSX-R have Enkei).  Air intake ($300).  Comptech full cat back-exhaust with test pipes ($1200).  Alpine audio system.  Momo steering wheel with original included ($500).  Wings west side skirts.  Rebuilt A/C.  It is sorted and ready to drive.  Currently has the stock front lip.  Original engine cover included.  New tires.  Oil changed with mobile one full synthetic.  Any good NSX mechanic knows (even with low mileage) these need to have the motors resealed.  Otherwise they develop leaks and many little issues.  This was done as preventative maintenance and just the motor resealing was $5000.

I am ONLY letting my pride and joy go because I have 3 sons and this only has 2 seats.  If I could afford 2 very nice cars I would keep this, but I can only afford one and I have a one car garage.  This has always been stored, never driven in rain, and the body looks fantastic.  The original paint was a 23 step process so to have the original finish is very desirable.  I am looking to get a nice 60's muscle car like a 69 Camaro or 70-74 Challenger/Cuda so I need to let this go to buy one of those.  Clean/clear California title in hand.  Ready to drive anywhere today.  Please ask any questions  you have and they will be answered quickly and honestly.

2013 Acura ILX 2.4

Going Mainstream Has Its Privileges
Acura's experiment with niche models has failed. Competing in the luxury car business by filling white space with product just didn't work for the Japanese automaker. In place of slow-selling models like its ZDX and quirky first-gen RDX, the mindset at Acura has recently switched to more conventional products with vastly improved volume potential. The redesigned 2013 RDX, for example, sold almost as many units in 2012 as it did in 2010 and 2011 combined, and the all-new 2013 ILX has sold more units each month - since going on sale in May - than Acura sold in ZDXs and RLs in all of last year.
While the redesigned RDX is a crucial product to compete with luxury compact crossovers, the ILX might be the most important new product for Acura, as a growing number of premium makes are starting to realize the importance of upscale entry-level compact cars. Ironically, this segment was a pivotal part of the brand's success in the 1980s and '90s thanks to the Integra, but Acura completely abandoned the genre when it killed off the RSX coupe in 2006. The addition of the ILX not only gives Acura a competitive small car again, it also drops the brand's entry price by almost $5,000.

The cars that won't live to see 2015 [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

Every year in the fast-paced automotive industry brings new models, but it also spells the end for some that have been less successful. This year will be no exception.
Japan's automakers make up the bulk of the list of discontinued models for the 2015 model year: Acura is replacing the TL and TSX with the new TLX sedan, Honda is bidding farewell to the Fit EV as the new Fit hatchback takes its place, and Nissan is saying goodbye to both the Cube and Murano CrossCabriolet. Both the Nissan Maxima and Mazda2 exit stage left before their upcoming replacements arrive, while Toyota is terminating the RAV4 EV and FJ Cruiser as well as the Scion xD, and Lexus IS C and IS F that are being effectively replaced by the new RC. Meanwhile Infiniti is finally discontinuing the G37 that was already replaced by the newer Q50.
From our own domestic automakers, Cadillac discontinues the CTS-V sedan and wagon as the new CTS rolls in, Chevy is canceling the mild-hybrid Eco versions of the Malibu and Impala sedans, and Chrysler is killing off the 200 convertible as the new 200 sedan arrives.

Honda slaps Legend name on JDM Acura RLX

Mon, 10 Nov 2014

It's been eighteen years since we last saw the Legend nameplate in Acura showrooms here in the US, but in Japan it's still very much alive as Honda's flagship sedan. And now the Japanese automaker has revealed the latest generation.
Set to go on sale across Japan on January 22 - 30 years since the nameplate was introduced - the new Honda Legend is essentially the same model we already know in the States as the new Acura RLX. Only by "essentially," we mean exactly. It is the RLX, only with Honda badges instead of Acura ones. The manufacturer hasn't even changed the grille or the wheels.
Although the RLX is being offered Stateside in two forms, the new JDM Honda Legend will only come in one form, equivalent to our Sport Hybrid, with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and a hybrid powertrain pairing a 3.5-liter V6 to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with integrated electric motor. For the privilege of owning the most luxurious car Honda makes, Japanese customers will have to pony up ¥6,800,000 - which about adds up to $59,950 we'd pay for an RLX Sport Hybrid.
